Food and a shot of Me (does that sound porny?)

Well I feel like I need to post pictures every time I do a blog or you guys will get bored. :)  So, I think I'll post a few recipes now and then.  I am once again cooking up a storm (no not burning food! ha), and Mr. Eye Candy is SO happy.  I branched out last week and actually tried another new veggie!  FENNEL. Oh.My.Goodness!!! Heaven.  I just about peed my pants when I took a bite of the amazing deliciousness of that yummyofall veg!  Who knew!?  Not me!
So you saute it just like you would any veggie. I used green beans, onions, garlic, and orange zest. WOW.  You cannot forget the orange zest people!  You can also chop up some of the fronds and sprinkle them in at the end. Perfection I tell you!!!  I then made (thank you food network) a hot vinaigrette to go over it.  Just olive oil, hot sauce (any kind you like) and squeeze that orange for all the juice it's worth. WOW.  Yeah...I'm gonna make it again tonight. I'm hungry. ha ha

I also did pork steaks w/ red pepper flake.  Now you can make this same recipe with Chicken or pork chops.  In a zip lock bag: olive oil, orange juice (if you don't have an orange or two to squeeze - I used tangelo's!), red pepper flake, some salt, brown sugar, big squeeze of honey.  Mix around in bag. Add meat. You can let this sit overnight or just cook after coating the meat.  AWESOMEness.

Now I am lovin' my cast iron skillet, People. BEST ever to cook in.  Now some of you may wonder the size of my plate.  I also have a shot of another meal I did w/ apples, baked potato wedges w/ garlic, and a pork roast.  You can see my portions here.

There ya have it, folks.  OH...and a shot of me. :) My NEW fun suede jacket!!! AND, my size 10 jeans with a BELT! Need it to keep them from falling down. Oh yeah. Life is good, peeps!

    1. thanks, Sarah! I may try a size 8 here soon. Just not daring enough. Scales stay the same...or go up a couple pounds then back down. No real loss, but think I'm losing more inches instead of weight right now. I'm being such a good girl! HA HA
